Many of us that lived in Gainesville, FL at one time have just as many fond memories of Football games as we do of amazing live shows and bands. We still talk about old venues like The Hardback, Covered Dish, Common Grounds, Market Street, and whatever their names may of been when you lived there. The music that came from Gainesville and Florida in general is something a lot of us still talk about and listen to all the time.

So why not try bringing good old Florida rock and the “World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party” together?Come out to Idle Hands Bar to watch FL vs GA with game sound but also DJs playing music before, during breaks, at halftime, and a bit after. And maybe we can create that perfect atmosphere to watch a Gator game at a bar in NYC that many of us always wanted… but may not have been possible at the “other gator bars” (no offense to them either, we love you, sometimes).What music are we spinning you ask? Some bands we have in mind are Hot Water Music, Less Than Jake, Against Me!, As Friends Rust, Chris Wollard & The Ship Thieves, Tom Petty, The Draft, Gunmoll, Chuck Ragan, Rehasher, Radon. We’ll definitely get deep with FL bands from other parts of the state… and we’ll take requests.
