Bourbon of the Week: Bulleit
Every week we’ll be featuring our favorite bourbons and beers, and I’m gonna get it started with my personal favorite bourbon: BULLEIT
Created in 1837, legend has it that Augustus Bulleit vanished with his creation while transporting the barrels from Kentucky to New Orleans – and from what I remember from a “ghost tour” I went on in New Orleans, my guess is that it was vampires.
Fast forward 150 years and Augustus’ grandson, Tom, decides to revive the bourbon…and I’m thankful that he did.
It is a bit sweeter of a bourbon, which makes it go down a little TOO easy sometimes. You can have this small batch either straight, rocks or with a mixer, and you can’t go wrong. Only problem might be finding places that carry it.
