System of A Down $10 Tasting and Pairing w Blue Point Brewing Company

Join us for a VERY SPECIAL edition of our weekly $10 Tasting event. Tonight we celebrate a band we absolutely love, System of a Down along with one of our favorite local breweries, Blue Point. We will expertly pair some of Blue Point fantastic beers including their experimental Mosaic hopped Hoptical Illusion, with the best of System of a Down.

Event starts PROMPTLY at 7:15.

Blue Point Brewery is one of the best and longest standing area local breweries. Their Hoptical Illusion IPA (rated 90 out of 100 on Ratebeer.com) is made a with a features a rare hop grown exclusively on a small farm in Oregon. They recently re-made a very small batch using Mosiac Hop. Mosiac is a new new aroma hop that was released in 2012 that offers a unique and complex blend of floral, tropical, fruity, and earthy characteristics. It’s the daughter of the very popular simcoe hop strain. Only 20 kegs of this experimental beer are leaving the brewery and we are getting one!

Tonight, you will taste the Mosiac Hopped Hoptical Illusion along side a regular Hoptical Illusion for a side by side tasting. Blue Point Brewery reps will be on hand to talk to you about the process and hear your feedback.

We’ll also be featuring the release of one of our favorite canned beers, Blue Point’s Summer Ale!
